AUTHOR'S JOURNEY
From Catholic Priest to Secular Psychologist
As a naïve young priest, Father Uhl believed and preached the standard Catholic beliefs and traditions for almost ten years after his ordination. Then, following much study, meditation, and a near fatal accident, he realized he had become a sincere agnostic about the old supernatural "truths" learned in his pre-rational youth.
On leaving the Benedictine monastery and priesthood, he earned his Ph.D. in psychology. His private practice thrived as he enjoyed helping his clients shuck their old guilts and fears--as he taught them to drop their harmful habits and outdated superstitions.
The book, Imagine No Superstition, shows how every thinking person, following his/her logical conscience, can likewise really enjoy adult freedom without guilt.
Here's my Ten Commandments for the Twenty-First Century.
